So, we wake up wayyy too early and hit the sales right at eight. There are a few in our neighborhood that we stopped by, but none had a dresser that was big enough and the right size. We were hoping that we wouldn't have to drive very far or go to many sales, but knew that was wishful thinking. Sure enough, we ended up on the other side of the city (a good 20 minutes away) at a huge garage sale for charity. Even though they didn't have any dressers, they had an end table, which we needed. We paid for it and my mom put it in the trunk before saying "let's just looking around." I didn't really see the point, but I mean, what else was I going to do?
We were looking at a painting that would go in my kitchen when we hear two women talking behind us. One was the lady running the yard sale and the other was just a shopper. I heard the shopper say "I have a dresser at home but I don't think I can get it to you today. What should I do with it?" My mom looked at me and then turned around just in time to say "We're looking for a dresser!" We exchanged info and the lady said she would call us when she got home. Sure enough, today she called my mom and said to come by around two. When we got to the house, the dresser was downstairs and was perfect! It was the right size and had enough space in the drawers.
If we hadn't been at the garage sale or hadn't decided to go back and look around, we would have never found this dresser and who knows what I would have ended up with. This dresser was the nicest of them all. With less than two weeks left, I can now say I'm officially all ready for the big move. Watch out, Bean Town, here I come!
