time for a break

I think it's time for a team break. It's time for all of us to get out of Boston and spend more than a weekend away from each other. We've been spending almost every day with each other for the past four months and I think it's starting to take it's toll.  Everyone seems to be annoyed with each other and we've started snapping at one another for little reasons.  This isn't to say that we're not getting along, because the majority of the time, we're laughing and joking with each other, but working together has started to become increasingly tense and it's only a matter of time before "stuff" hits the fan (to be polite).
I think we all took for granted how lucky we were to all get along so well from the start. We seemed so different, yet all got along so well.  We spent every weekend together and when one of us wasn't there, it was obvious that someone was missing.  We all seemed equally as invested in City Year and didn't have any issues staying late or taking on more work. Now, we've noticed who puts in more effort, who actually does what they say their going to do and who is better at delegating and a more enjoyable team mate.  It doesn't help that none of us can stand Danielle and have just lost almost all respect for her as our manager.
I think it's only a matter of time before this all comes out in the open and someone explodes. While I'm not looking forward to it, I think it will be good for us to voice our opinions and say how we feel. I'm starting to wonder if we should say something to Erica.  Hopefully all we need is a break from each other and a little time outside of Boston to ease the tension.  I am hopeful.

In other news, my room mate Chelsea has gone home the past three weekends in a row.  She texted me asking if I wanted to go to dinner last night, but I couldn't, so she just left....
P.S.  hope you like the new blog layout!

Anyways, here's a little quote that I think sums up how my team is feeling right now.

"It isn't the mountains ahead that wear you out, it's the grain of sand in your shoe."
