a day of exploration

Today was a day of exploration. This morning, I woke up early and walked around exploring by myself. It was so nice to have the morning to myself and just be able to jam out to my iPod. MY stuff is coming this week with my parents, so I don't have my room set up, which means I don't really have a place that feels like my own. I also can't just sit in the house all day. It makes me homesick.
So, I walked to Fenway. It's two milesish from my house and I knew it would be an adventure. I walked through Brookline, which is really nice. That's where my aunt, uncle and cousins lived when I was young and it's definitely somewhere I would live. It made for a scenic walk, which is nicer than just office buildings. There wasn't a game today, which was probably better because I just wanted to stroll around. I looked inside the souvenir shop, took some pictures and then left. For the amount of time I was there, the walk was a little long, but I just wanted the morning to myself.
When I got home, we started Friday Night Lights season 1. It's so good! I am on episode three and am hooked. I was starting to get a little homesick though and Chelsea wanted to walk around so we all walked to the pond that's near our house. We walked the loop and then went to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner. By the time we cooked dinner, it was nine o clock.
After dinner I webcammed with Anna for two hours. Despite some technical difficulties, it was great! It was exactly what I needed. I miss having best friends and great room mates at my finger tips. I'm looking forward to the day when I have that here. I hope it's sooner rather than later.
Anyways, my parents are coming tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited! I'm going to bed in hopes that it will make them come just a little bit faster!
