As I was on the T this morning, I got a text from my mom wishing me a happy hump day. I smiled as the T cruised over Boston and watched the sunrise. I was thinking how lucky I am that I don't sit there and count down the days until Friday. Sure, I love the weekends and enjoy the opportunity to sleep in (if eight counts as sleeping in...thanks biological clock/circadian rhythm), but I ABSOLUTELY love my school days.
Today was a half day for the lower school (every other Wednesday is), which means the morning flies by because every subject is like ten minutes shorter. At 12:15, well 12:25 by the time everyone got outside, I headed out to grab lunch with Pat and Angela at Lambert's. On a normal day, I don't have enough time to go out and grab lunch. It is so nice just to be able to get out of the school building and walk around for a few minutes. We had a training from Erica on Repeated Reading to help kids with reading fluency.
On Wednesdays, we don't have enrichments so that the upper school can get out a little early also, so we go straight to Course Coaching. Today, JA wasn't there because she has Big Sisters. She's been really difficult this week and I'm not sure why. In morning reading, she just mutters and then gets annoyed when I tell her to speak up. It's just kind of snowballs and she comes to Course Coaching with an attitude because she's mad about morning reading. So, I think it was good that we had a break from each other today because it's been a rough week.
Ms. Moulton gave me a ride home which was super nice since it's gotten pretty cold out. So cold that snow is predicted for tomorrow night. That's right ladies and gentlemen, SNOW. I am not ready for this. I thought I'd have another couple of weeks before it started, but here we are at the end of October and snow is predicted for tomorrow and Saturday night. HELP ME!!
Tomorrow should be pretty normal. Nothing too exciting. Pat and I have a lot to do to get ready for the Mock Election November 8th and Thursdays are mad busy for me, but hopefully he'll take the lead for tomorrow and get stuff done. Anyways, happy hump day guys! You've got this!
