| Ready to dance! |
I would consider this weekend quite a success. I got to enjoy all of the Halloween festivities without having to ever dress up. Friday was a blast! All of us left HQ early to go chaperone the middle school Halloween dance, which was the best middle school dance I've ever been to. It was two and a half hours of constant dancing from us and the middle schoolers. The sixth graders were the life of the party, while the seventh and eighth graders mainly hung out in the back corner. There were rap battles, cupid shuffle dances and lots of dance offs. The best part of it all was just the fact that these kids were loving it. There was no drama about who was dancing with who or that someone was dancing inappropriately. It was pure fun. My team mates and I danced a ton as well, which made it that much more fun. After the dance, we all went to Rachel and Pat's new house to hang out and help them settle in. Wild times.

The rest of the weekend was pretty low key, except for the fact that IT SNOWED. Yup that's right. White fluffy snow covered the ground this morning as I woke up. It's all melted now, but it was there and in full, slippery force. I was not expecting it to make an appearance this early on. I do have to say, though, that left as fast as it came because by 10:30 this morning, it was melting away and was completely gone by dinner time. I appreciate that. Luckily, this week is supposed to be relatively warm, so hopefully we'll get one last week of fall weather before the long winter.
On another note, I'm sad to report that ODU beat JMU this weekend in a close game. The final score was 23-20. I blame my dad for this one . His oldest child and only daughter graduated from JMU this spring, yet he chose to root for the monarchs. He owns multiple JMU shirts, has been to many JMU football games, and has embraced JMU pride like it was his own school, yet he chose to root for ODU. Maybe if he had been cheering for the Dukes, they would have won. I'm blaming him if we don't make it to the playoffs (note the sarcasm). :)
Anyways, here's to another week of school, enrichments and course coaching. Happy Halloween everyone!

P.S. Love you Dad, even though you supported the wrong team this weekend.
I want my own page for a day so I can give my side of the story!!
