the 12 days of winter break

Before coming home, I had visions of me hanging around the house, watching endless amounts of television, and spending lots of time doing lots of nothing. I think my break was the complete opposite of that, with every day filled with some sort of activity, family gathering, or holiday. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved it, but I was shocked at how different my "break" turned out to be.  Because of this, I didn't have the time (or the energy) to blog, so here's a little recap of my break (with some holiday cheer). It's not perfect, but it's something better than me just listing off what I did.

As you can see, the 12 days of winter break were filled with nothing but holiday cheer.  It's been a wild and crazy 12 days, but I've loved every minute of it. I always get a little nostalgic before I leave home, but this time I think it will be especially hard because I don't know when I'll be back. June is probably our best bet, but who knows. I will always have a special place in my heart for Virginia Beach.  It will always be my home, no matter where my house is.

Happy 2012 everyone and thank you so much for your love and support in 2011. It was a wild and crazy year full of sad endings, but exciting beginnings. There is no way I could have made it through leaving JMU and moving to Boston without your support. Thank you for your support in reading my blog. It is such a comfort knowing someone out there is listening.  You all are truly angels.
