Easter weekend!!

Amist all of the chaos that was occurring on my team, the Tucker gang had come to Boston to celebrate Easter in Bean Town.  I went out for Thai food in the South End with them Thursday night and it was fun to have visitors who knew and loved the city.  Everywhere we went, they had some sort of nostalgic memory which would bring on a story about when they lived here. It was great.  Once, Aunt Patti even got sentimental over a gas station!

Friday, I was at HQ and it was a nice reprieve.  We met as a team for team time and spent an hour talking about Nick and how we were feeling about his leaving. Erica was awesome. She told us how proud she was of us for bouncing back after Rachel and Arthur left and how much she has seen us grow over the past eight years.  She went on to say how ever since Arthur and Rachel left, the expectation was 110% and we gave 120%.  It was so nice to hear a positive feedback during such a tough time.

We went out to dinner as a team with Erica after that and it was just what we all needed. We all vented about how Nick really let us down. I found out things, like the fact that he was making up dates that kids passed Math assessments, that really disappointed me. It's hard because he has so much potential and is great with the kids, but he just doesn't do what he's supposed to and doesn't understand when there are consequences to his actions. Anyways, it was fun going out to dinner with my team and hearing their feelings towards this whole thing, especially Erica. I feel really bad for Erica because every time someone leaves, it creates a ton of stress for her.

Anyways, Saturday I took the GRE at Boston U. in the afternoon. I got lost on the way and didn't have my phone, so it was super stressful getting there, but the actual test went well.  I did basically the same on verbal and on math, which is surprising since I really only studied for math. Oh well. I'm glad it's over with. I don't really have any context to base my scores off, so I don't know if I did extremely well or extremely bad, but my scores sounded good to me. I'm just glad they're done with.

Saturday night, Isabel, Tuck, Uncle Charles and I went to the Easter Vigil at Trinity Church. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  They gave out bells to ring whenever you said Hallelujah and the choir was perfect.  It was really long, but it was pretty cool because they started with the scripture from Genesis about how the earth was formed, so you really got the entire story.  Definitely something I recommend if you're ever in Boston for Easter.

Sunday, we went to Bunker Hill and climbed the monument, which was fun. I thought I was in pretty good shape since I walk a ton around the city, but after climbing about 50 steps, I was reconsidering. My legs are extremely sore today!  I don't know what it was, but everyone was complaining about how tough it was to climb the stairs.  It did have a cool view of the city once you got to the top, though.

It was such a fun weekend with the Tucker crew.  They are a ton of fun and there is always something going on. At one point, Martha turned to me and asked why I was so quiet.  There's no need to talk though when they're around because there's always something to do!  Gotta love them!
