We got a new student today and he's super cute! He is missing his two front teeth and has a full head of hair. He is hispanic and has a little bit of accent that comes out, but he speaks perfect English. He's so well behaved and fit right in with all of the other kids. I love him!!
It was so funny to watch all of the other kids in the class try and adapt to this new kid. Some, like BD and KS, were just beside themselves with excitement. They would get in trouble because they were trying to show the new kid things in the classroom instead of doing what they were supposed to.
Our whole class is set up and revolves around having 20 students, so I wasn't sure how having 21 would work, but it actually seems to be fine. KC has a desk in "Syberia" that faces a wall and isn't near anyone else, so he doesn't yell out as much. Inevitably, someone is almost always absent, so partners isn't a huge deal. Plus, he's such a sweet kid and so well-behaved, it didn't even seem like there was an extra kid. It was a great Monday back!
