and then there were seven.

JUST KIDDING!!

Too soon?  Never!!  The number of "too soon" jokes my team has made these past two weeks are astronomical and maybe it really is too soon to be joking about this, but it's the only way we're able to laugh in such a crazy situation.  Needless to say, I think we're all glad to see February end and March to arrive.  We're moving on.

Now that I feel like this whole saga is finally over, I can reflect on it and truly appreciate people's support.  I honestly don't know what I would have done without my room mate Matt.  You're probably shocked, but he's an incredible friend.  He listened to me cry and vent almost every night of ATA and sacrificed his Saturday to make sure I wasn't just moping around.  We went to Providence, RI and went ice skating and out to dinner. As much as he drives me crazy sometimes, he was an incredible friend and a great shoulder to cry on.

In my absence of blogging, I forgot to post a few things last week.  During ATA, one of the few joys was the talent show where both Erica and Margaret performed.  Here are the links to their performances. Erica did a spoke word piece by Taylor Mali and Margaret sang a gospel song.  Both were phenomenal and made me so proud of both of them.

Yesterday, we were at school to wrap up SWAG week.  It was pretty laid back and I was only really in class for about 45 minutes.  The rest of the day was spent making "MCAS rally" posters and going to town meetings.  MCAS for you Virginians is like the SOLs or any other state standardized test.  We're going to have a breakfast for the 4th and 7th graders who each have to write a four page response for the MCAS, which is a big deal.

So, to wrap it up, I'm moving on.  Tomorrow starts week two of our new team and we've moved on.  The roles of our team have shifted and we're adapting to our new life as a team of eight.

Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today.
