We gave the kids an extra 30 minutes of recess where Holly and I just sat outside while the kids played, which is nice because as much as we're together, we never just get to talk. We were watching a bunch of the boys play soccer and KO tripped, fell, and rolled around on the basketball court. EM-G asked him if he was okay and his response was "I'm a MAN!" KO is so sensitive and tries to be tough, but is so quiet, shy and loving, so hearing something like "I'm a MAN!" come out of his mouth brought both Holly and I to the ground in laughter. The things they say to each other are hysterical and can keep you laughing for hours.
Tonight was the art solstice and the kids were really cute. KC was wearing a collared shirt and tie and had new braids in his hair. Some of the kids were nervous and kept saying "I have butterflies in my stomach and my hands are all wet!" LP was so nervous he was crying hysterically and refused to go on stage. In the end, though, it was super cute. They sang "Candle in the Window" and "The Rainbow Connection"
When I got home, I found out that my debit card had been hacked and there were charges from Edinburg and South Carolina on there. Thanks to Wells Fargo, they caught it, but it was still not how I wanted to end my day. Anyways, I'm off to bed, but not before catching up on my games of Words/Hanging/Scramble with Friends!
"Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me. "
